NEWSOM FOR CALIFORNIA RAISES MORE THAN $1.6 MILLION THIS PERIOD TO BRING NEW DIRECTION TO CALIFORNIA
San Francisco - Newsom for California raised more than $1.6 million this period from over 3,600 donors, the campaign announced today. The numbers reflect the campaign´s success in building a grassroots effort that includes more than $1 million raised online, a record for California gubernatorial campaigns. This period´s figures bring the campaign's total amount raised to $2.8 million. The campaign has $1.1 million on hand.
"California needs to move in a new direction," said Mayor Gavin Newsom. "Today´s figures show we´re building the support we need to change California and end the status quo in Sacramento. We have used the past six months to organize hundreds of thousands of Californians into our campaign to set a new course for the state. I am deeply grateful to all who have joined this growing grassroots army."
