With state-of-the-art theatrics and video effects and perfection in choreography, the Ventura County Ballet Company (VCBC) will present the timeless tale of Cinderella in a thoroughly modern way June 6 and 7 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.

"The Cinderella ballet will appeal to all audiences," said Kathleen Noblin founder of the Ventura County Ballet Company. "Children will be dazzled by the special effects and adults will enjoy the story´s humorous twist. It is a real family treat."

Rodney Gustafson, Cinderella´s choreographer and former member of the American Ballet Theatre, brings the timeless beauty of this classic ballet into a new era with special effects and digital technology, combining movement, music, lighting, scenery, and acting to provide a tale of passion with a unique twist.

The VCBC´s top-notch production features professional dancers as well as VCBC pre-professionals, students from Ballet Academy Ventura, the official school of the VCBC. Having danced all over the world principal dancers include Jennifer Rowe as Cinderella; and for a special, exciting and fun twist the stepsisters will be hilariously played by Sergei Domrachev and John Piel.
