Jesse James Humvee Hot Rod and Boyd Coddington´s French Connection added to Museum´s vast motorsports collection.

POMONA, CA – This month, the Prolong Twilight Cruise on Oct. 7th will be an Octoberfest of cars and stars featuring automotive innovations by Jesse James and Boyd Coddington. Join us on Oct. 7th for a feast for the eyes at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum in Pomona for the 11th annual Prolong Twilight Cruise Night - Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Admission is FREE!

Returning from Iraq, Jesse James´ Humvee Hot Rod rolls in to the Museum commanding attention. The Humvee featured in the Discovery Channel´s, Monster Garage hosted by Jesse James was restored by the 181st Transportation Battalion with some signature Jesse James "bling," custom-made 28- and 26-inch wheels. The mechanics were challenged to create a unique humvee for the show. A crew of handpicked Soldiers and Airmen were given a timed challenge to create a humvee hotrod.

Another automotive innovation on display is the 1939 Lincoln "The French Connection" by Boyd Coddington. This beautiful red and black Lincoln Coach Built Roadster is said to be the last car built by Boyd before his death. This car features a 100-percent hand formed metal body, a Boyd Coddington signature style. With a V12 Hemi Engine and ostrich interior by Gabe Lopez, this beauty is a must see!
