Paypal is a racist and discriminatory company

I am a freelance advertising copywriter. I get most of my work through the internet because I am based in Kenya, and most Kenyan businesses do not exactly know the importance of good copy in marketing material. As a result, I rely on sites like Elance.com, Getafreelancer.com and odesk.com to find work from American and other Western individuals and businesses who realize the importance of good advertising copy, do a little work for them, and get paid. I work from Kenya.

Most of these sites require that in order to get paid for work you do, you must be using Paypal since it is a fast, safe and very convenient way to wire money to any part of the world. Paypal claims to be an international company, and their website claims that they serve over 190 countries. That is a big blatant lie. Paypal does not serve Africans. Paypal disregards all African countries in their network. In fact, Paypal hates Africa and Africans, and are just out there to exploit us, and leave us poorer. Paypal is an evil company, and I´ll tell you why.

I signed up for Paypal recently, and I have so far used it make payments to American-based companies like Godaddy.com, eBay, and other American e-commerce websites. For the love of Heaven, I have even used Paypal to make contributions and donations to foreign-based NGOs. Paypal had no problems whatsoever with me sending money via the internet to their country, and other western countries. However, when it was time for clients to send me funds via Paypal, my clients wrote to me and told me that Paypal had said that Paypal could not send money to me because I am an African.

Paypal only accepts money transfers from Africans to the United States, London and other western countries, yet Paypal does not allow people from foreign countries send money to Africans.

That is unethical. I dare say that Paypal is racist, and evil. For some reason, I feel that they just want us (Africans) to send money to them, and get nothing in return. If Paypal is not racist, why can´t they allow Americans and Europeans send money to us? Why have they made it impossible for Africans to get money from abroad? When I wrote to Paypal and inquired about the matter, I got a very stupid explanation. I wish I remember what they wrote, but I was so pissed off that I discarded the mail. But in their mail, they said some nonsense about how they don´t trust Africans, and why they are not allowing people send money to Africans in African countries because it is complicated and stuff. Why is it only when it comes to Africa that it becomes complicated?

If Paypal is not a racist company, they should come out and change their system and allow westerners send money to Africans. If they cannot do that, then they are a very racist company.

I have lost several thousands of dollars because Paypal refused to let clients pay me for work I´ve done in the past.

I rest my case.
