More Top Technology Leaders Endorse Boxer for Reelection

New members of Technology Leaders for Boxer include CEOs of Google, Symantec, Adobe, Netflix and Applied Materials.

Los Angeles – Twenty-six additional technology leaders, including Brook Byers, Charles M. Geschke, Reed Hastings, Vinod Khosla, Eric Schmidt, Mike Splinter and John W. Thompson, have endorsed Senator Barbara Boxer for reelection by joining the Technology Leaders for Boxer committee. The bipartisan committee is co-chaired by Safra Catz, President and CFO of Oracle; John Chambers, Chairman and CEO of Cisco Systems; and John Doerr, Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

Technology Leaders for Boxer will reach out to other Silicon Valley leaders to build support for Boxer's reelection. Boxer was first elected to the Senate in 1992 after serving 10 years in the House of Representatives and is running for reelection in 2010. She is the only Senator to chair two committees, the Environment and Public Works Committee and the Ethics Committee. She also serves on the Commerce and Foreign Relations Committees.
