United States Civil Defense Disaster Relief Fund: Haiti. Your gift will go toward: Disaster Relief Fund: Haiti

A massive, 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti near the capital of Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, January 12th. United States Civil Defense is working to rush emergency supplies to survivors of this catastrophe in Haiti.

In 2008, Haiti lost at least 800 people to a series of hurricanes -- Fay, Gustav, Hanna and Ike -- and now, the impoverished nation is suffering after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, and several strong aftershocks. Hundreds are dead, and thousands more feared dead. The capital, Port-au-Prince, is devastated.

Your gift now will help distribute relief supplies – including food, clean water, blankets, and tents to children and families impacted by the earthquake and aftershocks in Haiti.

The immediate need is dry foods such as rice, beans and can foods. They also need tents and army type cots and blankets.

Send your gift, food or supplies to: USCD, 301 Forest Ave, Laguna Beach, CA 92653.
