Choosing Between a Real and Artificial Christmas Tree

Roy Thomsitt
Christmas is undoubtedly the most wonderful time of the year. All of the hustle and bustle, the shopping and cooking, the smells of Christmas candles and making cookies. It may be chaotic, however it is something that everyone loves because it is part of the season. The best part of Christmas is decorating the Christmas tree.

Many people choose to purchase artificial Christmas trees. Whether it is because of space convenience, it can still be fun to decorate; many of them are already decorated when you take them out of the box. Clean up is also easier, all you have to do is put it back in the box and wait for next year. Another convenience in using an artificial Christmas tree is that you do not have to remember to water it.

Artificial Christmas trees also come in different colors for those who want a different look at Christmas. Many people like to put a new twist on the holidays and what better way to do it than with a blue or red Christmas tree?

The only way to go when it comes to Christmas trees is the real deal. Taking the family out to pick out the Christmas tree is a tradition worth setting. The little ones hop around happily pointing to this tree or that one. Whether you choose a Blue Spruce or a Silver Fir, make sure that it full all around and that there are no bare spots. If however there are bare spots after the branches fall, it is very easy to rectify by just turning the tree so the bare spot is in the back.

The smell of a fresh Christmas tree fills your home; you can smell it as soon as you walk in the door. It is one of the many smells of Christmas that inspire memories from your childhood. Many people cannot wait for the branches to fall anticipating the tree trimming celebration that soon follows.

Decorating the Christmas tree can be an exciting and fun filled family event. A traditional Christmas tree is one that is decorated with gumdrops and popcorn, ribbons and tinsel, it can be really beautiful when you turn out the house lights and plug in the Christmas tree.

The only one disadvantage to a real live Christmas trees is that you have to remember to water it everyday. With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, sometimes it can be forgotten.
