Mark your calendars. As of December 1 through January 11th. “COOL SCHOOL REVISITED”, an Art Exhibition and Sale will be on display at Ravenswork Studios….1611 Electric Ave. in Venice.

Artists include John Altoon, Larry Bell, Billy Al Bengston, Frank Gehry, Dennis Hopper, Ed Moses, Ed Ruscha and Robert Dean Stockwell will all be part of this Historic Art Exhibition & Sale.

The “Cool School Revisited” Exhibition and Sale was inspired by the film “Cool School”, directed by Morgan Neville and produced by Cedd Moses which features Ferus Gallery artists (listed above). This Venice Community Trust Sale and Exhibition is a tribute to the artistic contributions made by the original Ferus Gallery artists back in the 1960’s.

A portion of the proceeds from the “Cool School Revisited” Sale will help to continue The Venice Community Trust’s, newly established “Films for Schools” outreach program. “Films for Schools” was created to broaden high school students’ view of future career possibilities as well as to give them options and ideas on how to pursue different types of ‘behind the scenes’ jobs in the film industry.

The art will remain on exhibit, weekdays between Dec 3rd and Jan 11th from 9:00am to 5:00pm at Ravenswork Studios 1611 Electric Ave., (at Palms Blvd) in Venice.
