Hyatt Timeshares - How the Hyatt Vacation Club Works

Emma Martin
Hyatt Timeshares or, as they are also known, Hyatt Vacation Club, allow you to have your own slice of a resort that is yours and yours alone to enjoy for the weeks that you select every year. If you want a change, you can trade your points for other travel options. You purchase your timeshare and pay an annual maintenance fee, and small transactions fees where applicable. These maintenance fees cover resort and vacation club services, as well as the upkeep and improvement of the facilities and real estate taxes.

Hyatt Vacation Club accommodations are luxurious. While you can stay for a week, you are also able to make a reservation for any number of available nights. The accommodations are residential-style and offer all the comforts of home.

If you have questions about your timeshare, Hyatt travel specialists are available everyday to answer your questions. One of the big questions that people ask about timeshares is what if they cannot travel during the week they purchased. With Hyatt timeshares you can exchange your purchased week for points that you can use for another week at the same resort or at another resort in the Vacation Club or through the Hyatt membership in the club exchange service, Interval International. Your chosen week (or Home Resort Preference Period) can be exchanged via points to Hyatt's Hotel Exchange Program (HEP) for standard hotel room accommodations. This exchange is available every other year.

Each property has a Vacation Concierge who is available to help you plan ways to enjoy what each property has to offer. If the amenities and offerings change or increase, you simply have to check with the Concierge so that you are always able to get the most benefit from your Hyatt Vacation Club.

If you have used your Home Resort Preference Period for the year and want to have another vacation, you can check out the available rental inventory and rent these accommodations at a discount of 35 percent. These discounts are available for up to 60 days in advance.

Hyatt Vacation Club ownership means that you will always be able to vacation at the current prices. While you have a set time period for your vacation, it is fairly simple to exchange this for another time and another location. One of the real advantages is that you can transfer ownership to children and grandchildren, leaving a legacy you can pass on to the next generation.

Hyatt Vacation Club is a much better value when you buy a timeshare resale rather than paying developer's prices for it. You can search for Hyatt Timeshares or Marriot Timeshares online.
