Elhashemy's Broad Spectrum Luqaimat Diet Plan ......9. The Exercise Imagination Factor
In this article I will discuss one of the optional factors in Elhashemy's Broad Spectrum Luqaimat Diet Plan: the exercise imagination factor.
When you are losing weight by applying Luqaimat diet plan, you can still lose more extra weight and slim your waist more quickly if you apply my innovated idea of imagining contracting your abdominal muscles. All you have to do is to sit back and imagine that you are exercising abdominal curls several times daily. This day dreaming will lead to actual abdominal muscles activity, and after few days you will accept the Luqaimat-sized meals more comfortably than before exercising such day dreaming. It appears that the stronger the abdominal muscles, the quicker the stomach will sense fullness. If you apply such innovated idea you can lose additional inches of your waist circumference.
A relevant research was performed in 2001 by Dr. Guang Yue - an exercise physiologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio - and his colleagues. They found that if people imagine activity of certain muscles for few weeks these muscles will become stronger by about 15%. They performed such study on 10 volunteers who imagined flexing one of their biceps as hard as possible in training sessions five times a week. Further, the researchers explained that the mere thinking about certain muscles will send nervous impulses from the brain to that muscles through the motor nerves, hence the muscles will contract and by time these muscles will become stronger.
On this basis, some of my obese patients performed day dreaming 5 times each day for few minutes during which they concentrate on imagining that their abdominal muscles are contracting. The results are very encouraging; they lost an average of 10% more than other obese patients who did not perform such day dreaming. Also, they felt more satiated with Luqaimat-size meals, and they were more cheerful since their waists became thinner rapidly. So, one of the optional factors which I included in my Broad Spectrum Luqaimat Diet Plan is this form of positive day dreaming.
