"Don" Bush - Making Russia an offer it can refuse

Ian Brockwell
"Don" Bush and his "family" of Condoleezza "poodle" Rice, Dick "Oil man" Cheney, Mikhail "the puppet" Saakashvili, the "your wish is my command" Mainstream Media and the "S. Stirring" boys from Israel, have been in fine form this last week or so. Their ever predictable speeches/reports have sounded like an old plastic record that has got stuck!

It may surprise some to know that the Georgian Minister of Defense, Davit Kezerashvili, is a former Israeli and fluent in Hebrew. Another one of those "dual nationality" Israeli´s that are so popular in the US government (who can´t completely commit to their new homeland). Could this explain why Georgia has purchased so many weapons from Israel and around 1,000 Israeli nationals were in Georgia helping them to use these weapons?

Could the statements of "outrage" also have something to do with the Israeli influence (following Russia´s response), which sounded incredibly similar to the usual phrases that we hear from Israel when they are criticized? Charges of "ethnic cleansing" were made, and one almost expected to hear the usual reference to the "Holocaust" (maybe later?)

Knowing how proud Georgians are of their country, it is curious that the people have chosen to accept "outside" influence so readily. This is an extract from Wikipedia "According to the Constitution of Georgia, religious institutions are separate from government and every citizen has the right of religion. However, most of the population of Georgia (82%) practices Orthodox Christianity and Georgian Orthodox Church is an influential institution in the country."

Whilst it is correct that every citizen has the right of religion, it could be argued that religion and the Georgian government are not all that separate? Although there is a sizeable Jewish community in Georgia, it is still very much a minority. Yet Georgia´s Defense minister is Jewish, the man who brought Saakashvili into politics was Jewish (Zurab Zhvania, who died under "unusual" circumstances), and Israel have a big interest in supplying Security and arms to Georgia. Isn´t such a strong Jewish/Israeli influence "disproportionate" and perhaps not in the best interests of the Georgian people?

But what of American views? The US public have been brought up (conditioned?) into thinking that the United States is some unbeatable military power, whose "lifestyle" must be imposed on the rest of the world. Despite never winning a war on its own, America has given (with the help of Hollywood) its people the impression that it won the Second World War single-handed, something that has long angered the many other countries involved in that war. This arrogance has been seen in many other conflicts since.

As a result of this misguided "patrioticism" there are many Americans (but thankfully not all) who are more interested in hearing about the USA "kicking Ass" than winning victories through diplomacy. You can be sure that many responded to the speeches by Bush and Rice recently in the same way they do to "Rambo" films, probably screaming "Yeah! Way to go USA. Now let´s go and kick the asses of those rag heads in Iran!"

Unfortunately, the recent conflict between Georgia and Russia is not some "Rambo" film, this is the real world! This conflict could bring us all very much closer to another World War and the death of millions (if not billions) of people. The people who die will not return to make some "sequel", they will be gone forever! Some people must try to understand that there is a difference between a Hollywood war and a real war.

Regardless of how the Second World War began, the people fought for a much more honorable cause (if there is such a thing in war). However, the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan was for a very different reason. These too were "sovereign" countries (just like Georgia), yet Bush wishes you to believe that his reasons are more acceptable than Russia entering Georgia following an attack on its citizens.

Did Iraq attack US citizens? Did Iraq threaten the safety of the United States? Of course not, but Bush feels that he has a God given right to invade countries and kill people because America is "good" and everyone else is "evil" Who has the right to decide who is good and who is evil? A recent report stated that 92% of American´s believe in God. Which one? Is there some confusion in America about who is God?

Thankfully, there are many Americans who are getting VERY tired of "Don" Bush and his "family" using their "tax" money to pay for conflicts in far away places, conflicts that bring no benefit at all to the American public. While he is determined to grab oil wherever (and however) he can, for his friends, the American people are the ones who pay the price (with their lives, their homes and their standard of living).

If you believe these "conflicts" are about bringing "freedom and democracy" to the world, as Bush and the Mainstream Media tell you they are, you really must find the time to research this more. If you do, you will find that ALL the conflict zones have a connection to oil (oil wells, or oil pipelines), that is a FACT! There are many countries that do need genuine help, but does Bush apply the same interest in these places. Sadly, not.

One must also try and remember that Russia is not some poor backward country that can easily have its "Ass kicked". It is not the old "commie" enemy of the past, communism does not exist in Russia (the Soviet Union does not exist anymore either!). It is not going to put up with the insults it is receiving forever, or pretend that the West is not trying to encircle its territory with Pro-Western countries. Russia is not stupid and can see exactly what the plan is.

If the US military can not take control of poor old Iraq, that was weakened with sanctions before the invasion, what chance do they have against Russia? The only option would be nuclear weapons, but that is a "no-win" situation for both sides.

Europe, with the exception of the "family" members of Britain and France, are not in the same hurry as Bush to confront Russia. This is not out of cowardice, but an understanding of the reality of the situation. Europe depends on Russia for a great deal of its gas and would prefer to have Russia as a partner, not an enemy. Unlike the Bush administration, Europe doesn't mind paying for the gas that they receive, because it is cheaper than having some war to steal it!

Russia is really not that concerned about the so called "threats" that Bush and Rice are making, or the prospect of being excluded from Western "clubs". Bush has made no serious attempt to be friendly towards Russia (even before the Georgia conflict), so any such "exclusions" will make little difference.

At the end of the day it would make far more sense for everyone to get along with each other, but perhaps the only way this can be achieved is to find a more agreeable solution to "sharing" the planets resources (which is the real root of the problem). These resources belong to us all, as does this planet. No one country should seek to control the world´s oil supply, or the people who use it!
