Field landman do several different jobs such as abstractors which work in Clerk of Court offices throughout the country to pull deeds of properties which oil companies may have interest in drilling wells. Landman will also do right of way work in acquiring right of ways as roads, utilities and pipelines. Landman will work for seismograph companies to achieve oil and gas surveys for the knowledge of oil and gas faults. Lease acquisition landman negotiate the terms and conditions of oil and gas mineral leases with mineral owners.
