OKLAHOMA CITY — Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Andrew Rice has received endorsements from three newspapers in recent days.

The Muskogee Phoenix said Rice has an "even-handed and rational approach to the issues and problems we are experiencing."

The Oologah Lake-Leader described Rice as "a true Christian, a true family man, and a true independent thinker who can work across the aisle to find solutions for today's critical problems."

The Hobart Democrat-Chief said Rice is the right pick if people want a "change" from the sour economic times.

"I appreciate these endorsements," said Rice. "Oklahomans want someone who will put people before politics and work for commonsense, bipartisan solutions to our country's problems."

Rice continues his "Working for Main Street" tour Monday and Tuesday, visiting more than 50 communities to hear from Oklahoma's middle class families and small business owners.
