WVO: As Biofuel
WVO should not be confused for biodiesel. WVO is unmodified Waste Vegetable Oil and is shared or being sold cheaply by restaurants and food manufacturers as a waste product. WVO can be used in place of diesel fuel in a modified diesel engine. Biodiesel is chemically altered vegetable oil or animal fats, and can be used in any unmodified diesel vehicle.
Since biofuels are composed of organic substances, it is not only cost-effective, but also environment-friendly. Smog caused by toxic gases generated by carbon monoxide, sulfur oxide, soot, and other particulate which creates the greenhouse effect will be lessened.
You can use WVO in engines in two different ways. One is used directly as fuel which you will need an extra fuel tank and a system for heating and filtering the oil before it reaches the engine. The second is, you can have WVO converted directly into biodiesel, which is commercially sold globally.
Think of this, if everyone converts to using WVO or biodiesel, instead of smelling that nasty diesel fumes, you'll be smelling fries, fish sticks or stir fry; different smells depending on the type of food you were frying that day… can knock out the offensive diesel fumes anytime!
