Alshabab and other Extremist Must be Held Responsible for Atrocities Committed.

Mahdi Haile
massive destructions of lives and properties, specially Mogadishu, Kismayu.Biadaba and other places in Somali by Shabab´s nad Hisbul Islam thugs are indication that the two groups predominately made of the Youth from different tribes and followers of Shikh Dahir Aways never been serious about helping to liberate Somalia for the benefit of the Somali people.

The Leaders of Shabab and other extremist and their thugs are presently creating mayhem in Somalia because their goals for helping to remove Ethiopia from Somalia have been three folds, (a) to reclaim the power lost when the Mogadishu dominated ARS fighters, (b) to avenge the deaths of their supporters killed by the Ethiopians (c) to regain the ill gotten wealth they acquired during the warlords era.

The Somali people must hold Dahir Awaes, Yusuf Indhacade, Mansur Robow, Hassan Turki, Omar Iman and others, and the entire Leaderships of Hsibul Islam, Alshabab and others responsible for the atrocities their thugs are committing in Somalia. Somalis whose relatives have been killed or properties destroyed should take Alshabab and Hisbul Islam´s leaders to courts of competent jurisdictions in Somalia or the United State, Belgium and other western countries. Alshabab, and other extremist leaders are not immune from prosecution for the atrocities their followers are committing in Somalia.

Somalis will have to set a precedent! It is sad that in spite of strong evidence to prosecute perpetrators of human rights violations in Somalia, neither the first generation of Somali warlords and their supporters, have ever been dragged to court for crimes against humanity. Why Somalis are not making lives uncomfortable these Extremist, Al Qaeda ?

Somalis cannot allow the second generation of Somalis warlords including Omar iman , And Al Mansuur and others to go unpunished. They should be made to understand that insecurity for our people in any part of Somalia means insecurity for them. If Somalis fail to hold these individuals legally responsible for the destructions of lives and properties in Somalia, it will serve as a dangerous precedent. Somalia must remember, "no Somali has more claims on Somalis than another Somali".
