Los Angeles Pop singer Justin Stein will be volunteering today to support the National Education Association´s Read Across America program designed to promote literacy while instilling a lifelong love of reading in elementary school students. Stein will be joining individuals from various fields of entertainment (including the cast of ABC Family´s "The Secret Life of the American Teenager") to read children´s literature to the students at the Compton Unified School District elementary schools. The hope is that by acting as a positive role model, students are not only motivated to read more, they become aware that reading is a vital component of succeeding in any profession. Read Across America is an annual event set to coincide with Dr. Seuss´ birthday (March 2nd).

"I am honored to be associated with this is event. Reading is a very important life skill and I´m excited to help these kids see the value in literature. I have certainly learned so much from books and, in today´s society, there is less emphasis on reading in general. Hopefully this event can inspire kids to pick up a book more often," shares Stein.

After Stein traveled around the country as the official opening act for Corbin Bleu´s summer tour, his first single "Lose Control" off his self-titled debut album was featured on Radio Disney (Disney´s Incubator). Now he will be releasing a second single called "Sweetest Girl" set to come out with a new music video this March.
