Liver and let die ..

SIR Roger Moore has funded an ad campaign to persuade shoppers to think twice before buying foie gras.

The delicacy is made by force-feeding geese to artificially fatten their livers.

Former James Bond star Moore is trying to persuade top store Selfridges to discontinue sales.

He has paid for a bus-stop ad for campaign group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - outside Selfridges' famous Food Hall.

Plans to show the forcefeeding were rejected as "offensive". Sir Roger said: "Foie gras production is too violent to show in an ad."
