CAMPAIGN FOCUS: Metallica
Francais Pour Une Nuit was recorded in concert at the Roman Coliseum in Nimes, France last July.
The product is unique for the band in that all aspects of the project are French. The concert was filmed, recorded and edited with French camera and recording crews, the artwork was created by a French design team and even the end credits are written in French.
While the product will be available in stores in France, fans from other territories will only be able to purchasethe release on a direct-to-consumer basis through Universal Music (www.metallicanimes.com) and the band's own website (www.metallica.com).
Marketing and promotion for the release is also to be targeted exclusively online, as the major looks to keep its efforts directed solely at the core Metallica fanbase, which is hugely active online.
The film will be available in a deluxe limited-edition DVD boxed set, standard DVD digipak and on Blu-Ray.
Francais Pour Une Nuit is released on November 23.
