When the online indie music store CDBaby launched its new site in July, they encountered many problems – not the least of which is that they removed features which made the site accessible to blind consumers and recording artists. CDBaby doesn't intend to address the accessibility issues until after the holiday season. Struggling blind recording artists and their fans have been speaking out for months, but have received little satisfaction from the company. Comments from CDBaby illustrate how little even professional programmers know about the accessibility issues. Blind recording artists are expecting a slow holiday season, which will impact non-profits like the Performing Arts Division of the National Federation of the Blind as well as struggling blind and sighted musicians.

In 1948, Cominform, the first official forum of the international communist movement since the dissolution of the Comintern, put into action a plan to take hostage to communist countries children from Greece during the Greek civil war. The aim was to re-educate the children as well as blackmail the populace and the Greek government towards reaching a settlement leading to a partition of Greece and the subsequent creation of an internationalist "Macedonian" Republic. This move has favoured by the Yugoslav dictator Josip Broz Tito and had been a Comitern policy aimed at destroying the national states of the Balkans through the creation of internationalist republics. Today several FYROM sources claim or at least believe the abducted children were FYROMacedonian. Indeed that they were not abducted, rather they were refugees fleeing the Greek army.

The book is written in a semi disjointed "part blog-part diary-part letter" fashion and someone who is used to a structured flow when reading, may start out feeling a bit disconcerted. But if you persevere you can gain some insights into Egytian culture, sexuality, morality and society. The unifying theme of the book revolves around gender stereotypes, dating and marriage and how men and women are held to different standards in society. While this may be true across the world, it is more pronounced in Egypt.
